If you are changing your account within your financial institutions or changing your financial institution, you can update your account information by accessing the secure section of our website and going to Payments. For monthly benefit payments, EFT changes may require 30-60 days to take effect, so you must update your information well in advance to avoid interruption in payments.
It is important that you notify TRS whenever your address changes. Members should update their address information in the secure section of our website. Beneficiaries should file a Beneficiary’s Change of Address Form (code DM14).

If your address changes, please update the information through the Profile feature in the secure section of our website. You may also file a paper Member's Change of Address Form (code DM13), but the change will not be made as quickly.
What is the QAS? FAQ
3/19/2025 10:18:44 AMMembers receive a Quarterly Account Statement (QAS) for each account they have with TRS. Starting in 2026, each account is reported on a separate statement.
All non-retired members will receive a QPP Account Summary each quarter, reporting activity in their pension account, the Qualified Pension Plan (QPP). The TDA Account Summary is provided quarterly to members who have a traditional TDA account in TRS’ 403(b) plan, the Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA) Program. Participants in the TDA Program’s Roth option will receive a Roth Account Summary each quarter.
New Quarterly Account Statements are normally posted in the secure section of TRS’ website about six weeks after the end of each quarter.
Can paraprofessionals in New York City public schools join TRS? FAQ

However, as of October 29, 2021, paraprofessionals in the following titles are automatically members of TRS: Auxiliary Trainer, Bilingual Professional Assistant, Educational Assistant, Educational Associate, and Teacher Aide.
Paraprofessionals should not submit an enrollment request on the TRS website; instead, TRS will automatically enroll them as members based on information from their employer.

If you are a retiree with TDA Deferral status, you can view a quarterly statement of your TDA account balances by logging in to the secure section of our website. In addition, you may always obtain TRS publications such as the annual Investment Portfolios booklet by accessing the Publications section.
