Eligible retirees receive a cost-of-living adjustment beginning with September's retirement allowance payments. The annual adjustment, which is 1.7% for 2026, is based on half of the Consumer Price Index increase for the year ending March 31. It is calculated on the lesser of the retiree's maximum fixed retirement allowance or $18,000. |
